Weather
Webquest :
Students get to play the role of meteorologist, with the eventual task of
presenting a live weather broadcast. First however they must research local
weather conditions, weather terms, etc. and predict the weather patterns for
the week.
Best
Weather Webquest:
Grades 4 - 8 can complete this webquest on where in the United States might
you find the "best" weather? What constitutes our ideas of "best
weather" patterns in the first place? Spreadsheets will reflect gathered
data on 5 American cities; final presentations take the form of a poster for
exhibit.
Building

EarthKAM is a NASA-sponsored program that enables middle school students to take photographs of the Earth from a camera aboard the Space Shuttle. TEACHING
DATABASE
Teaching Database. Students in Prince William County, Virginia are required
to begin learning database software in grade three, and the biggest challenge
is making it meaningful and relevant. Microsoft Access is a very professional
product, and has many features that will NEVER be needed in the elementary
school setting. Yet, it is not a bad product for the students to begin using.
There is a lot of flexibility for the students.
