So You Have a Research Project?
This site was created by a middle school librarian to assist middle school students with their research projects.
Writing activities, audio poems, a gallery of children's work and much, much more! Age range 9-11.
"The web site includes two
areas, the original area aimed at 8-11 year olds and a new area for 11-14
year olds. The web site is based around story extracts and poetry. Young people
are encouraged to contribute their own reviews, stories and poetry for display
in the ‘Gallery’ area of the website. Young people also have the
opportunity to comment about the site, ask questions and respond to other
young people’s comments and get involved with many other activities.
This has led to the site featuring young people’s work from all around
the world. Through the online activities young people explore literature and
at the same time develop creative writing and electronic literacy skills."
